I let him in F G Dm To ask him where he's goin'. He just looked ahead. G C F Didn't say a word I heard his breathing. Soaked to the skin. Dm G I said "I'm Adam." With a toothless smile F Dm G | | He turned to look at me. He said "I'm Miles." C G Dm F G We drove a sturdy distance over county roads through dirt piles. F Am G C | F G | He said "Thank you, Adam." And it was "Goodnight Miles." C | G | Dm | F G | F Am G C | F G | He said "Thank you, Adam." I said "Goodnight Miles." E Am F C G It goes in one direction, this train down the line.
